General description of the collection: The Hartwin R. Peterson photograph collection consists of photos from the Mexican Border Disturbance of 1916 and of World War I subjects. If any of the photos deal with the career of Colonel Peterson it is not evident. There are no captions on any of the Mexican border photos. There are several World War I photos which show General Pershing and the Allied political leaders. Three photos show Mark III tanks being tested in the United States (U.S.) circa 1918, and six photos show Allied troops (not U.S.) at or near the front circa 1918. One photo shows numerous trucks transporting troops across a huge plain circa 1942, and one photo is of the monument to the Minute Men at Lexington Green in 1775.
